Holographic silver is a bit like the back of the disc that clock “laser color”, with the viewing angle is different, showing a red and blue gradient. The ordinary silver is reflective silver

The hologram is a representation of the hologram on the plane and produces a 3-D (three-dimensional) effect when viewed. Holographic printing differs from traditional holograms in that printing does not require any special lighting to produce a 3-D effect.

Holographic printing is not possible on plain paper. For ease of processing, paper or other printed surfaces must be coated with a layer of metal (usually aluminum or steel) or reflective plastic. The hologram is embossed into shiny metal or plastic to form a complex, very detailed pixelated image. Reflection waves interfere with each other in order to give a realistic 3D perspective and parallax graphs.

Holographic printing is widely used for identification and safety purposes. Credit cards, driver’s licenses, passports and security badges are usually embedded in small holographic prints on their surfaces. Holographic printing works particularly well in these applications because images can not be duplicated with scanners or copiers, and fake such images has proven to be very difficult and expensive.
